Project Manager STA & Certification, Human Factor Systematic Risk Assessment
Slavtcho Groshev has been working for the Center for Adaptive Security Research and Applications (CASRA) for the past six years in national and international projects in the domain of aviation security officer training and testing. As head of the nationally funded systematic threat assessment (STA), he is leading the efforts of multiple aviation threat analysts and as head of the national certification project he is working with all stakeholders to continuously enhance aviation security officer competency assessment in Switzerland. Slavtcho Groshev has furthermore led multiple international pilot studies involving computer-based training and testing of security personnel.
Enhancing the Human Factor in Security Screening
Security screening at airports is a crucial element in counterterrorism. Despite all technological advances, the human factor remains essential in enabling security measures to function. This talk will discuss a sociotechnical approach that makes use of a systematic threat assessment to inform the development of countermeasures enhancing the human factor, with a focus on training and assessment.
